Named in honour of the late Jim Parkes

Jim Parkes Reserve is proudly named in honour of the late Jim Parkes, a well-respected Beaconsfield resident who made significant contributions to the local community. Known as the local butcher, Jim’s influence extended far beyond his professional work.

As a former Secretary of the Beaconsfield Football Club, Jim became the club’s first life member in 1950, a testament to his unwavering dedication and the significant role he played in its operations. Jim’s legacy continues through his daughter, Kerry, who also became a life member in 2019, reflecting the family’s enduring commitment to the community.
